I am Kay,a full-time wife & mother who self-raised my two young sons and conducts my ventures from my beloved home. Our family is based in a beautiful tropical country called Malaysia which has been my home for the past 28 years. My SOHO life started when i finally withdrawn from my career as a researcher in a multinational oil and gas company. Initially, my withdrawal from the system was generally not accepted, judging from the income i brought for the family, my two young sons and my age (although i don't agree with the age factor). The exit never been easy, especially with the huge commitment that i have.The decision was not made overnight. I planned the exit strategy years prior to my resignation and even with all the planning, it still hurts. The datelines come and go without i finding the strength to take the plunge. Finally, a chain of events orchestrated by the Almighty triggered my conscience and without a trace of hesitation, i put an end to my career. With that, my life as a SOHO Mom has begun... Being a SOHO Mom, I'm able to fully care for my family and see my sons growing up. My life has never been this content. With my husband and my two active sons by my side, I am now doing things i love, day by day. I'm currently managing a fleet of online ventures including children art gallery, ladies accessories, boutique, gift & toy shop, and rack & display ideas. My venture in car detailing was ignited by an opportunity and fuelled by its potential. Working in my own pace and space revives my creativity. With no boundary and limitation, great ideas keep flowing in. I'm also grateful for the invitation to share my humble experience in 1Superkids as their resident columnist. Being able to share my experience with fellow moms and dads from around the world is such as great opportunity. This is my blog, my diary, my experience and my ups & downs of being a SOHO Mom.
